Masters Tournament with Tadej Pogačar

On Sunday, 18 October, Golf Resort Arboretum will host the grand Masters Tournament of the

charity golf league Never Give Up, Always Give Back (NGUAGB). The league was founded under

the patronage of the world’s best cyclist, Tadej Pogačar, and renowned entrepreneur Joc Pečečnik.

In collaboration with Golf Resort Arboretum, the Tadej Pogačar Foundation and the Rdeča žoga

(Red Ball) charity, it has brought together sporting excellence, business partnership and charitable

giving throughout the season. Attended by Tadej Pogačar, the closing tournament will unite

golfers and invited guests, and the day will be rounded off with a gala evening featuring a charity

auction of items linked to the biggest names in world sport.

A season in which every shot counted for a good cause

Throughout the season, the Never Give Up, Always Give Back league brought together competitive

sport, camaraderie and charity on the greens of Golf Resort Arboretum. In individual and team

tournaments, players competed for a place in the closing Masters Tournament while contributing to

a shared goal: helping those who need it most. Part of the funds raised will go to the Tadej Pogačar

Foundation and the Rdeča žoga charity.

In doing so, the league added a new dimension to golf. Alongside its competitive spirit, it put the

spotlight on cooperation, solidarity and the simple belief that one good turn deserves another.

The Masters Tournament: the culmination of sporting competition and connection

On Sunday, 18 October, golfers and invited guests will bring the months-long competition to a close

on the course at Golf Resort Arboretum. At the closing tournament, which is by invitation only,

they will compete in the Texas Scramble format.

As well as crowning the best players, the NGUAGB Masters Tournament will be a thank-you to the

players, partners and supporters who helped bring the league’s charitable mission to life throughout

the season. On this occasion, the invited guests will also be joined by Tadej Pogačar, one of today’s

most successful cyclists and the founder of the Tadej Pogačar Foundation.

A charity auction celebrating the legends of world sport

After the competitive part of the day, the action will move to a gala evening with an awards

ceremony and a charity auction hosted by Denis Avdić. Alenka Godec will give the evening its musical

signature.

The auction will bring together remarkable sporting stories that reach far beyond the greens of Golf

Resort Arboretum. The items planned for the auction include selected pieces linked to the biggest

names in world sport: Tadej Pogačar, Luka Dončić, Domen Prevc, Tina Maze, Anže Kopitar, Mike

Tyson, Jan Oblak, Marc Márquez, Goran Dragić and others.

From cycling roads, football stadiums and ice rinks to ski jumping hills, basketball courts, boxing rings

and motorcycle racing circuits, each of these athletes has left a lasting mark on the world of sport.

This time, the stories of their extraordinary achievements will take on an even deeper meaning: they

will become an opportunity to help those who need it most.

More than golf. More than a game. A purpose greater than winning.

The Masters Tournament will be the crowning moment of the first season of the Never Give Up,

Always Give Back league, through which Golf Resort Arboretum, the Tadej Pogačar Foundation and

the Rdeča žoga charity have united top-level sport with a charitable mission. The event will be a

tribute to everyone whose participation and support helped create something bigger. Above all, it

will be a reminder that our greatest victories are measured not only by results, but also by the good

we do for others.
